QI Tracking is a service that allows the client to know and use the information on the location and status of the medical gas cylinders in their hospital.
The health centre staff can easily access the information needed for:
Determining the number of cylinders the hospital possesses.
Checking and optimising stock levels.
Cylinder information: type (contents), batch number, etc.
Knowing the exact location (sub-store).
Set up immobilised cylinder alarms.
Locate a cylinder in quarantine.
Check the expiry date.
The proposed system manages the inputs and outputs of medical gas cylinders (medication) from the main hospital store, as well as their internal traceability between different hospital departments (movement to sub-store or between sub-stores).
The reading of barcodes is done from portable terminals (PDA) to report the transfer of cylinders between sub-stores in order to avoid the need to perform inputs from the main computer.
All software and the database will be installed on a computer located where agreed with the hospital.
The computer can be connected to the hospital network so that several users can be connected to the same database.
Benefits
Service
A series of automatically generated reports give updated information on the location, stock levels, cylinder rotation, etc.
Linde receives real time information, therefore it can speed up the supply of cylinders.
Safety
The main advantage of QI Tracking is traceability. With this it is able to:
Locate cylinders in an emergency situation.
Monitor a cylinder from a specific batch.
Technical
Lower chance of error: for the data input of cylinders , the barcodes attached to them are used, thereby preventing manual input errors.
Economical
Reduces the time dedicated to administration: the cost of stocktaking of the different users in the hospital.
With this it can help to reduce the number of lost cylinders and maximise stock in the hospital.
